Standard Oeko Tex

Oeko-Tex is a registered trademark awarded by the International Association for Research and Testing in the Field of Textile and Leather Ecology. This association issues an appropriate certificate based on the tests carried out on the fabric, which is placed by manufacturers on the label of a given product. Labels certified with the Oeko-Tex mark are intended to confirm, above all, the safety of the product for the natural environment and for people.

Manufacturers of textile and leather goods and other products can apply for the certificate, in accordance with the requirements of the individual types of certificates. The association currently issues the following certificates:

– Oeko-Tex Standard
– Oeko-Tex Standard 100 plus
– Leather Standard by Oeko-Tex (for leather products)
– Eco Passport by Oeko-Tex (for chemicals used in textile production)
– STeP by Oeko-Tex
– Detox TO Zero by Oeko-Tex – Zero Status Report for Manufacturing Plants

Products certified with the Oeko-Tex mark confirm the purity of textile and leather products at all stages of their production (all elements such as: fibres, yarns, buttons, threads).

The first certificate created by the Oeko-Tex Organization is the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 marking for textile products. This mark certifies compliance with the standards included in Annex XVII of REACH. This document contains testing methods and limit values for potentially harmful chemicals. This independent testing and certification system is used for textile materials and all semi-finished production products. These are raw materials such as: finished and dyed yarns, finished and dyed finished fabrics, knitwear and consumer goods (all types of clothing, home textiles, bed linen, terry cloth articles, textile toys and others.

Products awarded this quality mark are free from harmful substances in concentrations that have a negative impact on human health and a negative impact on the environment, including pesticides, chlorophenols, formaldehyde, allergenic dyes, prohibited azo dyes and extractable heavy metals. Materials are tested both for the absence of toxic compounds and for the limits of permitted substances.

The Oeko-Tex certificate is valid for one year, after which you can apply for an extension for another year.

Made in Green by Oeko-Tex is a certificate for textile products that have been sustainably produced and tested for harmful substances according to the Oeko-Tex criteria. In particular, textile products must successfully pass tests for compliance with the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 requirements, then the production plant must undergo an audit for the STeP certificate - by Oeko-Tex. After meeting these criteria, the company is awarded the "Made in Green" quality mark, which was replaced in 2015 by its previous version Oeko-Tex Standard 100 plu
