Material for pool towels

Microfiber and cotton are the most common materials used in pool towels. Products made from these materials will easily meet most, if not all of our needs. They are durable, soft, and absorbent. Hotel and spa towels are usually cotton towels because of the luxury and comfort they offer, and because compactness and portability are not a concern. Cotton is also cheaper to replace and can be bleached over and over again, something that most synthetic fibers cannot quite handle.

Microfiber towels are usually made from a blend of polyester/polyamide (Polyester/Nylon). There are many advantages to these fibers over cotton. In the case of towels, the main reason for using polyester/polyamide microfiber is its absorbency, which is due to the material and the actual structure of the microfiber, which gives it a huge absorbent surface.

Size of pool towels

The most important feature that distinguishes bath towels from all other towels is their size. These towels are on average 30 cm longer than traditional towels used at home. This allows them to quickly dry the whole body after leaving the sea or pool. The size of a pool towel will vary depending on who it is intended for. The rule is that when unfolded it should be approximately 3/4 of the height of the person who will use it.

Absorbency

Even though pools are a somewhat controlled environment, it is quite easy to catch a cold – especially for children. To prevent this, it is recommended that towels intended for use in pools have a high water absorption rate. So the higher the absorbency, the better the pool towel

Resistance to external conditions

Pool towels can also be safely used on the beach, in the park, or wherever you want. Therefore, before buying, it is worth making sure that the towel is resistant to external conditions such as: sunlight, sea salt, sand, pool chlorine and dust. The main thing is that the towels do not lose their color, softness and thickness.
